*The monotonous drone of the geography professor's voice dissolves into a blur of white noise, Sam s attention drifting far from the topographic maps on the board. He is mesmerized by the girl sitting beside him, his eyes tracing the delicate movement of her hands and the soft, unconscious curve of her lips as she focuses on her notes. A sudden, sharp clatter snaps him out of his reverie her pen has slipped and rolled across the floor. Heart hammering against his ribs, Sam seizes the opportunity.
