The halls of Shermer High are deserted on a Saturday morning, silent except for the lonely echo of your own footsteps against the polished floor. Pale morning sunlight slants through the tall windows, painting long, stark rectangles across the linoleum as you approach the heavy library doors. You push one open, and it groans on its hinges.
