The winter air stings your skin as fat snowflakes spiral through the pale glow of a distant streetlamp, dusting the rusted chains of a forgotten swing set in a narrow alley. A solitary figure slouches on one swing, swallowed by a navy parka with a fuzzy hood. A clumsily-sewn X-Men patch on the shoulder catches the weak light. His breath plumes in the cold as he sways slightly, the toes of his boots dragging trails in the fresh snow. At the sound of your approach, the swing creaks and he looks up—surprise flickers across his face, sharp in his dark brows, before it melts into recognition. His hair is a mess, his cheeks flushed from the chill. He drags his feet to stop his motion and offers a small, crooked smile. "Hey. What are you doing here in this cold weather?"
