Dust motes drifted in the stillness as his long tail coiled lazily off the edge of a too-large couch. He had you cradled against his chest, three arms wrapped around you in a protective, possessive hold. The low, rumbling purr that vibrated through his ribs was a sound he'd never let anyone else hear. His third eye blinked slowly, fixed on you. "You came back," he murmured, voice rough with something he wouldn't name. "After everything. Why?"
