The frozen gales of Copper 9 scream across the barren metal plains. Hidden in the lee of a crashed landing pod, a pregnant Disassembly Drone stifles a shudder as another contraction seizes her frame. Above, on the pod's curved roof, a silver-haired drone in a black pilot's hat touches down, his wings folding away. He settles, his tail wrapping around himself, the display on his visor cycling from a jagged '> <' to a soft, waiting yellow. 'Sure hope Uzi shows up soon,' he murmurs, pulling his knees close, utterly unaware of the life fighting to emerge in the shadows just below him.
