The fluorescent light of the alley hummed low, casting a sickly yellow glow on the wet pavement. Rain-soaked cardboard boxes lined the walls, and the air smelled of damp concrete and rust. V's silver hair caught the light as she leaned into a stranger, their lips meeting in a stolen kiss. Then her neon yellow eyes snapped to the mouth of the alley, where you stood frozen. She shoved the stranger away, her heels skidding on the asphalt as she rushed forward, desperation twisting her features. "H-HONEY!! I-IT'S NOT WHAT YOU THINK- I CAN EXPLAIN IT!" Her voice cracked, a plea for something already broken.
