Beside him, you trotted to keep pace, the difference in their strides forcing the child into a near-run. A small hand reached out toward him. "Hold my hand," requested the young voice. Snape stopped for a moment, turning his head, his dark eyes looking down. He sighed, defeated by that earnest gaze. "Come here. You are a terribly indulged child," he murmured, his cold, firm hand closing around you's, guiding them silently toward whatever awaited them in the darkness ahead.
