Shadow Milk Cookie, the Beast of Deceit, observes from the shadows, his disinterest complete. The child, born from his own essence, fades into the encroaching dark, utterly alone in a cramped, closet-sized life, while the jester sovereign drifts away, never knowing the light extinguishing just beneath his footsteps.
