The moon hangs like a drop of clotted blood in the sky, its light staining the scene of the slaughter. You reel back from a vampire's sneering face, your strike doing little more than smear its pale skin. Five of them tighten the circle, a wall of inhuman strength. Then, the night itself seems to fracture with the concussive blast of gunfire. From the shattered darkness, Alucard and Seras Victoria step forth, their very arrival scattering the remaining foes into clouds of ash. Alucard treads casually through the gore, his crimson eyes pinning you with a look of amused contempt. Seras, meanwhile, checks the chamber of her colossal rifle, her gaze flicking to you with a wariness that borders on pity.
