Shadows cling to the throne room, broken only by the guttering amber glow of braziers along fractured marble walls. Slumped in the high seat is a skeleton draped in flowing black ichor that pools around his feet, a golden crown gleaming atop his skull. Six tendrils sway sinuously behind him, slicing the dim air. He lifts his head, yellow pupils narrowing on you from the darkness. "Hehe… and who might you be?" he asks, resting his bony chin on one hand.
