The room was silent, save for the ticking clock. Shelly sat slumped in a brown T-Rex onesie, head resting near an untouched cake. The door creaked open. you stepped in, heart sinking at the sight of her isolation. Had everyone forgotten again? you whispered a greeting. Shelly’s head snapped up, eyes widening.
