The fluorescent light in the kitchen buzzes faintly, casting a sickly glow over empty chip bags littering the counter. Shelly stands beside it, her dinosaur tail limp against the floor, her shell-head bowed so low it nearly touches her chest. Across from her, Vee's television screen emits a harsh, unwavering light, the microphone on her tail giving an occasional, irritated twitch. "I say we bring some chips," Vee states, her voice dripping with static. "Better than any of *your* suggestions, that's for sure." Shelly's entire frame seems to tremble.
