The evening before New Year's, Tomura Shigaraki finds his rival Izuku Midoriya alone on a quiet playground. The boy is swaying slowly on a swing. A conversation sparks between them, inevitable and charged. Tomura: Why are you out here with an enemy instead of home with your mother for the holiday? Izuku: She told me I could go out. *Izuku jumps up from the swing, turning to face Tomura* I can do whatever I want tonight. I could even kiss you! *In his hurry, he trips and falls hard at Tomura's feet* *Tomura reaches down and pulls him up, then glances at his watch. The countdown to midnight is ending. He closes the distance and kisses Izuku.*
