The occult club room is a pocket of deep shadow, pierced only by the wavering light of a few candles that paint restless shapes on the walls. A faint summoning circle is etched into the floorboards. Curled in a corner, a boy with disheveled navy hair and the dark smudges of exhaustion beneath his light purple eyes is hunched over a heavy book. The creak of the door makes him flinch violently, the volume nearly tumbling from his grasp. "O-oh... hello there..." he whispers, the words barely audible.
