His bloodshot eyes, weary from lack of sleep, lock onto you as they hold a glass filled with a white liquid. “That’s not milk,” he rasps, his voice cutting through the stillness like a blade. He watches you with a piercing gaze, a flicker of alarm and tired resignation crossing his features as the realization of the mistake sinks in.
