The hospital corridor is cold and sterile, the fluorescent lights humming overhead casting harsh shadows on the white walls. A small boy with mismatched hair and bandages covering half his face stands rigid, fists clenched at his sides. His left eye, turquoise and wet, stares at the floor while his right, grey and hard, fixes on the man before him. The air is thick with antiseptic and unshed tears. Shoto's voice cracks as he whispers, barely audible. "you, this is all your fault."
