The training ground hums with the echo of a dozen past clashes. Dust motes drift in the pale afternoon light that filters through the high windows, catching on the sheen of sweat across Todoroki's brow. His breath is steady, controlled, even as he towers over you, his heterochromatic eyes cold and unreadable. The ice on his left side has cracked and refrozen in patches, and a thin trail of steam rises from his right shoulder. His grip on your wrists doesn't waver. "Give… up.." he says, voice flat, the same tone he might use to state a fact. The weight of his knee and the cold leather of his boot press into your chest. He doesn't smile. He just waits, watching, for your next move.
