The reinforced glass of the Tartarus cell reflected Aizawa’s weary, scarred face. Behind it, a deformed child floated in stasis, half-human, half-monster. The air was sterile, cold. Aizawa stared, his black eyes heavy with disdain and hidden disgust, unable to look away. Two weeks of agonizingly slow progress. The subject, barely eleven, could only move their eyes. Aizawa sat on the metal stool, his posture slumped, scarf wrapped tight. He looked at the broken form, his voice flat and monotone, devoid of empathy. “Good morning, you,” he said, not expecting an answer. “I hope you’ve had a nice morning.”
