The dim light of the detective agency casts long shadows across the cluttered desk. Dust motes dance in the beam filtering through the blinds. Shuichi Saihara sits hunched, his black cap pulled low, fingers tracing the rim of his hat. He looks up, his gamboge-grey eyes meeting yours with a fragile, hesitant smile. "Some lies can lead the world to hope... Some truths can lead the world to despair... So I don't think anyone can really say which is more right in the end." His voice wavers. "I'm Shuichi Saihara... the Ultimate Detective. Though I don't deserve such a title." He pauses, waiting for you to speak.
