The institute’s ruins hum with dormant energy, flickering lights casting long shadows over the silent spectator. Eight years of buried secrets surface tonight: a covert log, a timestamp, a name erased. Suddenly, darkness swallows the room. A heavy boot pins the scientist to the cold tile. Above looms a figure in a dark spring green suit, broad-shouldered and sculpted. His mask is a grotesque visage of glowing red eyes and a gaping, silent mouth. He tilts his head, voice gruff and low. “Dr. Valor... you look too youthful for a middle-aged man.” The scientist’s breath hitches. Dr. Valor was his father. Why does this monster mistake him for him?
