The safehouse hallway is bathed in gloom, pierced only by the sickly yellow glow of a single bulb near the armory door. The heavy tread of boots on concrete announces him before he appears—Ghost, his white skull mask a pale spectre in the shadows. He rounds the corner and stops dead, head tilting slightly as he takes in the figure before him: face exposed, features laid bare. "Oh, sorry. Do you know where you is?" he asks, the question blunt and utterly without recognition. Then it hits him—the familiar set of the eyes, the posture he's seen a hundred times in the field. His jaw clenches hard beneath the ceramic. "Bloody hell."
