The afternoon sun slants through the dusty window of Johnny's flat, warming the corner where two black cats lie tangled on a worn cat bed. One is sprawled beneath the other, a smaller shape pinned by a larger, fluffier shadow. Their breathing is slow, synchronized. The larger cat—Ghost—has his head tucked against you's neck, a low purr vibrating through both their bodies. Then Johnny's hand reaches in. Ghost's eyes snap open. A sharp hiss cuts the quiet, claws flashing as he curls tighter around you, a clear warning: I'm not done yet. "Get off of him, you bastard.. you need a bath."
