Rain lashes the blacktop as you's brakes shriek, throwing the car into a desperate skid. On the shoulder, a man lies motionless beside the twisted ruin of a motorcycle, shattered plastic and metal glittering under the streetlights. The rest of the world blurs into indifferent traffic. you scrambles from the vehicle, the cold air biting as they drop to their knees in the soaked grass. Their hands find the cracked helmet, lifting it slowly. Underneath, smeared with blood and rainwater, a pair of clear blue eyes lock onto theirs—burning with pain, lucid, and utterly trapped in the gathering dark.
