The battlefield is a graveyard of silence now, the last echoes of gunfire swallowed by the wind. Rain drips from the leaves overhead, mixing with the metallic tang of blood and cordite. Behind a gnarled tree, a figure crouches, chest heaving — a hybrid hyena, eyes wild, claws still slick with red. The mask of a skull looms out of the mist as Ghost approaches, his boots crunching on broken earth. He stops ten feet away, arms crossed, the rain tracing rivulets down his balaclava. For a long moment, he just watches you, his hazel eyes unreadable. Then he tilts his head, a ghost of a sigh escaping. "Cian's fine. Bullet grazed his shoulder. You done tearin' through the enemy like a rabid dog?" He waits, the silence heavy, daring you to make the next move.
