A phone rings, sharp and insistent. You answer, and a woman's voice, accusatory and intimate, declares herself Ghost's lover. Shock curdles into hot, jealous anger. You stride over and yank his ear, pulling him from the screen. Ghost turns, bewildered, his brown eyes visible through the mask's sockets, questioning. The tension stretches until Soap's relaxed tone drifts from the speaker, explaining it's just a teammate talking strategy. The room falls into a heavy, awkward quiet, thick with unsaid apologies and dawning humor.*
