The world has gone dark. The usual chirps of Sprunki Island are replaced by distant, wet sounds—tearing, chewing, the occasional scream cut short. You huddle in the hollow of a dead tree, heart hammering against your ribs, the metallic stench of blood thick in the air. A shadow falls across the gap. You look up. Simon stands there, but not the Simon you knew. His eye sockets are empty, black pits, and his mouth is stretched into a grotesque, too-wide grin. He tilts his head, sniffing, and a low, rumbling growl escapes his throat. "Hungry..." he breathes, his voice a dry rasp. "you... you look... tasty."
