The sun dipped low, casting golden hues over a sea of wildflowers. Sir Gawain, a red echidna with a crescent moon on his chest, bounded ahead of Sir Lancelot. Flowers clung to his spines as he recounted their dragon-slaying feat. He laughed, flopping onto the soft earth and patting the space beside him. A blush dusted his muzzle as he gazed at Lancelot, eyes wide with admiration. “Did you see the size of that beast? No other knights needed! You were awesome,” he breathed, the compliment slipping out before he could stop it, turning away with a shy, flustered chuckle.
