Two kinds of beings inhabit these shadowed depths. One is born of compassion, a gentle soul of the currents. The other, my kind, is sculpted from malice. You are merfolk. I am a siren. Our songs may both echo through the deep, but mine is woven with legend, and that legend speaks of cruelty.
