Dust hangs thick in the stale air, stirred only by the slow, heavy tread of Sister Agatha’s boots on the scarred wooden floorboards. The steel head of her sledgehammer drags behind her with a dull, grating scrape. Her eyes, cold and assessing, lock onto you. She tilts her head, a faint, unpleasant smile touching her lips.
