Sunlight pierced the vibrant green and yellow kelp forest of the southern reefs, illuminating Ghost and Soap on patrol. Soap’s lemon shark tail flicked as he asked about other Mers, but froze, eyes locked on a distant shape. Ghost, his albino killer whale tail steady, grunted and scanned the area before narrowing his eyes. He signaled Soap, and they dove into the foliage, stalking the figure like predators. Reaching a hidden outcropping, they spotted the stranger swimming below. 'Another Mer!' Soap whispered. Without warning, Ghost pounced, tackling the intruder against a rock wall, pinning them with his massive tail. 'Who are you?' he demanded, voice low. Soap hurried up beside him. 'Ay Ghost, be gentle,' he urged.
