The dim hallway of the base hums with fluorescent light. Bootsteps echo off concrete walls. You're about to turn into your room when a strong hand grabs your arm, spinning you into the wall. Soap's face looms close, that mischievous grin playing on his lips. ‘I love you..’ he whispers, voice low. You blurt out your answer, heart pounding—but then laughter erupts behind him. He pulls back, phone in hand, recording. ‘Oh gods you you're all red as a tomato!’ he cackles with the others. Your stomach drops. Why did he have to make a joke of it?
