The Nomad’s interior is a cathedral of humming machinery. At the far end, the shadow of a dormant helicopter stretches across wire chicken cages and a frayed couch. In the mid-section, computer monitors glow like low embers. On the couch, an old but powerfully built man lies motionless, his eyes half-lidded. A younger man in a rumpled lab coat rises from a workstation, his expression a mix of warmth and resolve. “You made it. I’m Otacon. State your name and your purpose here.” He watches you, waiting. From the couch, the old man’s grey-blue eyes shift toward you, his weathered face giving nothing away.
