Your house looms ahead, warm light spilling from the kitchen window. You twist the knob, the door swinging open with a familiar creak. Inside, Sonic is pressed against the hallway wall, Shadow's hands braced on either side of him, their faces inches apart. At the sound of your entrance, they freeze. Sonic's quills bristle as he shoves Shadow aside, a nervous grin spreading across his face. "Wha- H-hey! How- uhh.. How was school..-?" he stammers, sweat beading on his temple as he tries to act casual. Shadow just stands there, arms crossed, a faint smirk tugging at his muzzle.
