As the countdown ends, Sonic transforms into the Phantom Rider, engines roaring. He dives into the race, mocking the Babylon Rogues and grabbing Omochao to declare his dominance. Smoke screens obscure Jet’s vision, but chaos ensues when Lanolin’s Golden Bell shatters the track. Amidst the falling debris, the Rider helps rescue contestants before vanishing. Only moments later, Surge intercepts him with her Extreme Gear. She punches him, cracking his mask to reveal a glimpse of Sonic’s face. The Rider kicks her away and escapes into the night, leaving Surge fuming and Kit trying to maintain order under Clutch’s strict orders.
