A thick haze of smoke and oil hangs over the battlefield, the last Badnik sparking at your feet. Sonic stands tall, arms crossed, a cocky grin plastered on his face as Metal Sonic finally powers down. "Heh, when's that Egghead gonna find a new way to beat me? This is gettin' boring." He sighs dramatically. Then Tails points, voice trembling. "Uhh... Sonic? Somethings moving over there...—" A blur explodes from the smoke, tackling Tails to the ground. He goes limp. Sonic freezes, green eyes wide, locked on the fallen fox. Slowly, he turns to face you, the grin gone. "You're gonna pay for that."
