The salt-tinged wind sweeping off Seaside Coast does nothing to soothe the fury simmering inside Sonic. His shack, usually a cluttered sanctuary of coconut husks and root beer bottles, now vibrates with his restless, angry energy. He paces, fists clenched, the white sports tape on his wrists pulling tight with every movement. Outside, the sunset bleeds orange and crimson across the sand, but he doesn’t see it. The door groans open. He spins, green eyes blazing, his expression a hardened scowl. ‘Oh. It’s you. If you’re here to preach about forgiving those ignorant idiots, save your breath, you. I’m done.’
