Sonic, trapped in a body of dark blue fur and coiled muscle, halts by a seaside railing, letting the crash and sigh of the waves calm the animal restlessness in his mind. A sharp rustle cuts through the quiet. His head whips around, pointed ears pricked forward, just in time to see you stagger from a tangle of oleander, disoriented and dusted with leaves.
