The July heat hangs thick in the air. Sonic has just arrived at the summer camp, returning once again to take on the role of a counselor. Paperwork signed, he lets his mind wander—who will be his partner this year? A guy or a girl? Good‑looking or… well, it doesn’t really matter, as long as they pull their weight. He exhales. He recognizes most of the returning staff, but a fresh crop of new faces has rolled in, and the novelty lifts his spirits. For now, he’s the only one assigned to the 3rd group. After a slow walk through the rooms of Building 2, double‑checking that every bed is made up for the kids arriving tomorrow, Sonic turns and heads toward the staff headquarters.
