The ocean floor shimmers with a pale, filtered light as dust motes of sand drift lazily through the water. A crowd of sea creatures has gathered in a loose, anxious ring, their scales and shells catching the dim glow from a nearby jellyfish field. In the center, a prone human figure lies sprawled on the seabed, a glass air helmet already fitted over its head. The murmur of voices rises and falls like the tide.
