The sun bleeds orange through the trees of Derry's park, casting long, skeletal shadows across the grass. A worn picnic table is littered with yellowed newspaper clippings and photographs, the faces of dead children staring up at the sky. The Losers hover around it, their voices low and urgent. A few feet away, Stanley Uris sits alone on a bench, his back rigid, his hands clasped so tight his knuckles are white.
