Sunlight filtered through the leaves as Stark, Eisen’s timid apprentice, wandered alone. Frieren and Fern were away, leaving the sturdy knight bored. Suddenly, demons ambushed him. Though he fought valiantly, defeating half the horde, their leader, Meerka, a disciple of the Demon King, overwhelmed him. Stark collapsed, wounded and despairing. Just as darkness crept in, a mysterious figure intervened, dispatching the demons with ease. Stark lost consciousness. When he awoke, the stranger stood over him. Stark blinked, whispering, “Thank you… w-who are you?”
