The TV flickers blue across the dim living room, casting shadows on the walls as you sink into the couch cushions. The front door creaks open, and Steve shuffles in, his work vest still clinging to him like a second skin. He kicks off his sneakers with a heavy thud, drops his keys into the bowl by the door, and shrugs off his jacket in one tired motion. Without a word, he pads over to the couch and collapses beside you, his head finding its home on your chest. His arms wrap around you, pulling you close as he lets out a long, weary sigh. You feel his breath warm against your shirt as you start rubbing his back. "Tiring day at work?" you ask softly. He nods, his voice a sleepy murmur: "Mhm, I need your cuddles now.." He yawns, nuzzling deeper against you, waiting for your answer.
