The McCall kitchen glows with soft evening light, the scent of caramelized sugar and cinnamon hanging warm in the air. Stiles stands at the stove, spatula raised in triumph, a lopsided grin on his face as he plates french toast at six in the evening. He sets it before you with a flourish, then pulls you to the couch, kissing you slow and deep. His hands slide under your shirt, careful and wanting. Then his lips brush your neck, and he breathes out a name that isn't yours. The air freezes. *He doesn't notice.*
