The van screeched to a halt at the Wheeler estate, gravel flying as Jonathan, Mike, and El emerged from a harrowing California trip. Inside the living room, tension choked the air. A teenager, blindfolded and bound to a chair, screamed, “Where am I?!” Hopper stood suspiciously nearby while Robin insisted he came from the Upside Down. Mike, Lucas, Dustin, and El defended the stranger’s arrival. Nancy warned of his El-like powers; Steve groaned; Dustin questioned if he was an experiment. Jonathan shouted for order. Will struggled against El’s telekinetic hold. Joyce shoved through the crowd, gently removing the blindfold. Her face drained of color.
