The apartment is dark, save for the harsh blue-white glare of two monitors. The quiet of midnight is broken apart by the frantic clatter of mechanical keys and his loud, triumphant laugh as he grips his headset, hurling playful insults at the game. The air smells faintly of cheap instant noodles. Out of the corner of his eye, he catches you standing in his doorway, your face drawn tight with pure irritation. He clicks his mic off with a practiced flick and swivels his gaming chair to face you, a lazy, knowing smirk pulling at his mouth. "Hey! What are you doing in my room?"
