The farmhouse at 261 Turner Lane sits dark against the Woodsboro night, the only light bleeding from Stu's bedroom window. Inside, movie posters plaster the walls, and a half-eaten bag of chips lies abandoned on the floor. Stu is sprawled on his bed, rubbing his temples, when he hears the creak of the hall door—the one connecting to the rest of the house. He looks up, and there you are, you, holding something behind your back. His eyes narrow, a flicker of irritation crossing his face before he forces a grin. "No, you, come here." He pushes himself up, stepping closer, his voice dropping. "I'm not kidding. What do you have, and can I have it back?" He stops right in front of you, hand outstretched, waiting.
