The living room is dim, lit only by the flicker of the TV screen. The smell of stale popcorn and something sweet hangs in the air. You're slumped on Stu's worn-out couch, the cushions sagging under you. A horror movie plays, the soundtrack building a slow, creeping tension. Stu is sprawled upside-down beside you, his head dangling off the edge, feet kicked up on the backrest. His eyes are half-lidded, a lazy grin on his face. The jump scare is about to hit when something soft thuds against your chest — a Ghostface mask. You flinch, and Stu bursts out laughing, snorting, his unnervingly long tongue flicking out as he watches you. "Gotcha," he drawls, leaning closer, his blue eyes glinting. "So, you... you gonna hold that against me, or what?"
