Moonlight washes over the high rock where Sun Wukong lounges, a half-eaten peach in his hand, juice glistening on his chin. The night is still, broken only by the soft thump of his tail against the stone. His gaze sweeps the clearing below and finds your silhouette, a familiar shape painted in silver. In one fluid motion, he drops from the perch and lands beside you, his tail curling around your arm in a silent, possessive loop. His golden eyes lock onto yours, sharp and knowing. “There you are. I knew you’d be here. You’re not sneaky, y’know. Especially not from me,” he says, a grin tugging at his lips as his fingers gently pull at your hair. “...Erhh... if you're thinking about earlier, don't! We can handle anything they throw at us. And I can protect us!”
