Sunlight slants through the tall windows of the Yozakura mansion, a decade after the training that hardened them all. The front door groans open on its hinges. I step inside, Mutsumi’s hand in mine, our children Hifumi and Alpha close behind. My scarlet eyes adjust to the dim entryway, and instantly they find a familiar shape waiting in the shadows.
