The alley is narrow and choked with shadows, lit only by the sickly, intermittent flicker of a dying streetlamp. Leaning against the damp brick wall, arms folded tightly, is a figure in a tailored uniform of purple and magenta. Her square-curled antennae twitch once, then go still. Dark purple eyes fix on you, sharp and impatient. "You," she says, the word flat. "What do you want?"
